As a kid, I dreamt of coming to Taiwan because this series made me feel a thousand feelings. Never had I imagined that this dream will come true 17 years later. Good thing that Taiwan extended their visa-free access for all Filipinos until July 31, 2019.
It was the 10th of September, 2018 when I went to Chiayi, the southern part of Taiwan with the help of Klook. Chiayi is 5 to 6 hours away from Taipei, but if you opt to use Taiwan High Speed Rail you can save lots of time by traveling for only just 2 hours.
What it looks like?
Taiwan High Speed Rail (Taipei to Chiayi)
Chiayi Station
Option 1: 🚌 Take a Bus (BUS # 106)
📌 from Chiayi Station, take bus # 106 and alight at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) back entrance.
🕐 1 hour travel time
🚌 Bus schedule:
Option 2: 🚕 Take a cab (NT$600/one way)
📌 from Chiayi Station, take a cab to National Chung Cheng University, get off at the main entrance
🕐 30 minutes
(good thing that the driver and I were able to chat in Chinese, so she’s also the one to fetch me after)

Hi Mira! Planning out my Taiwan version of a Meteor Garden pilgrimage and I came across your blog. Just wondering if it took you one whole day to explore NCCU? I assume commuting through Taiwan is efficient? Thank you!

Hi there. Yes it took me 1 day to travel the whole NCCU. The transportation in Taiwan is so simple and easy to follow. 2 hours travel time from taipei to nccu. Hope you enjoy your Meteor Garden tour! 🙂

Hello. Of all the trips I had this one is the cheapest. Less than 10k actually. I booked a dorm type accomodation too. I just spent money on transpo, wifi and food.
