As you are reading this, I am probably rushing to the airport or waiting for boarding gates to open by now. The last 365 days was really a memorable one for me, especially the last 2 months whereas, I got to spend holidays with my family, got to see my beloved friends and was able to travel in Korea one last time. I’m really happy that I will finally able to go back to the nursing world. Of course I miss scrubbing in, handling surgical instruments and see a lot of blood. haha! Finally, I’ll be able to step out of my comfort zone. God bless my journey on this!
For those of you who are reading this, who are confused or still confused and do not know which path to take or maybe losing hope in general. I want you to know that IT’S OKAY, you have all the time to figure things out. JUST DON’T GIVE UP! look for other alternatives if possible and always ask for guidance to the man up there! 🙂 I’m gonna tell you my story and I’m not embarrassed of it.
“FALL 7 TIMES, STAND UP 8”
I took IELTS 7 times! YES 7 times! I’ve been breaking my own heart over and over again. I tried different techniques, subscribed to different authors like Simon and Chris Pell, attending IELTS workshops, even hired a private tutor, but NOTHING WORKED. I got depressed, clinically depressed to the point I attempted suicide. I kept on asking myself “Am I that stupid?”, “A dream of becoming a nurse overseas will never come true”, “Stop dreaming, you’re a failure!”. And then BTS (a kpop group) came into my life that year and that’s another story. A few months later, I started to dream again, there’s a lot of “what ifs” on my mind and I need to find answers. So I took a leap of faith and tried another exam which is OET (Occupational English Test), that was February 11, 2018 and I got my results a month after, luckily I passed and stars realigned. This whole process took me 4 years to finish including several exams and completing Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) requirements.
The last 365 days was the happiest because I got to blog, start up a business, travel and enjoy my K-world side. There’s a lot reasons why God had me listed on the waiting list back in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, because it’s not yet the RIGHT TIME.
Today, I can say that I’m really fulfilled, blessed and a mix of happy and sad. haha.
